On Saturday, March 19th, the National Women’s History Project held their annual Women’s History Month Honoree Luncheon at the Hamilton in downtown Washington, D.C. Sixteen women were honored this year, all of whom were chosen based on this year’s Women’s History Month Theme, “Working to Form a More Perfect Union: Honoring Women in Public Service and Government”. The honorees represented a diverse group of professions and perspectives, including elected officials like Barbara Mikulski, the “godmother of Title IX” Bernice Sandler, and the the former Chief of Astronomy at NASA, Nancy Grace Roman.
